We are located in Bourtange, one of the oldest fortress towns of the Netherlands, founded in 1583. A perfect place for a visit to this medieval vilage and tours and walks through the countryside - only a few steps away from the German border, cosy and fair priced restaurants as well as picturesque ancient little streets and shops.... The fortress township "Bourtange" is well worth a visit and lies approx. 200 kilometers (124 miles) north east from Amsterdam in the quaint and tranquil province Groningen. It is one of the most unique towns of the Netherlands that still remained the same over all these hundreds of years. In the summer, on sunday's, an authentic medieval canon will be fired by the local medieval "watchguard" to honour the days past... Our large guestrooms have all private facilities, private bathroom (shower) and of course private toilet and are suitable for couples, families and small parties. The rooms are freely accessible throughout the day (and night). There is ample free parking available for cars and/or vans. The rooms are even 'wheelchair friendly' because of the large wide doors and the absence of any stairs. Large Dutch country breakfast with home-made jams, marmelades and/or fresh strawberries etc. depending on the seasons is served to the room(s) every morning. The guestroom(s) have a private terasse with garden view.
All guestrooms and guest areas are stricktly non-smoking...
Rates 2002, in Euro's ( including
breakfast / 2 nights minimum ) :
Double room with all private
facilities : (Euro) € 25,= (approx. 24US$) per person per
night.
Single room with all private facilities : (Euro) € 35,=
(approx. 34 US$) per night.
reservation costs/tax: (Euro) € 10,= over
the total amount.
To guarantee a reservation, half of the fee for
the specified number of nights as a deposit is required or valid credit
card info.
In case of cancellation:
With a fourteen (14)
days or more notice before scheduled arrival date: deposit amount fully
refund able minus (Euro) € 10,= service fee.
With a fourteen (14) to
four (4) days notice before scheduled arrival date, 50% of the agreed
total amount will be charged.
With a four (4) days or less notice before scheduled
arrival date, 50% of the total will be refunded ONLY if accommodation is
re-rented at this short notice.
